Prime Minister Harper Wants Long Gun Registry Scrapped
In a recent speech to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Prime Minister Stephen Harper called on hunters, anglers and other outdoors enthusiasts to help him build enough support to repeal the long gun registry.
"We are looking to unite a majority of MPs in repealing the long gun registry," Harper told the group in a speech.

Species of the month: Lesser Scaup
Common Names: bluebill, little bluebill, broadbill
In North America, the total population of scaup has been decreasing by an average of 150,000 birds a year. Scientists are working on figuring out the many factors that may be contributing to this decline. Since lesser scaup make up about 89% of the total population, they are of particular research interest.
