1st Place - "Paying Dues" by Stephen Barrett
"This photo was taken one summer day in East Texas after I had built this blind for use in the Lone Star Chapter's Kid's Day event this past year. I had promised my son he could help paint the blind because he had helped to build it (sort of).

2nd Place - "My Dog Sage" by Bear Harrell
"I took my 7 year old daughter on an afternoon hunt on 1-22-05. She isn't able to handle a shotgun yet, but she loves to go and watch her dog work. This particular afternoon the wind was blowing over 35 mph, and a front was coming in out of the NW. 30 minutes after we got in the blind, I had a limit of greenheads. We spent the next 45 minutes just sitting in the blind, watching the ducks. It was a very special time for a father and daughter. One that neither of us will soon forget."

3rd Place - "Helping with their raising" by Larry Prince
"Hunter wants to go hunting because he loves hunting, Caitlin wants to go because she loves daddy and Drake. Whatever it takes to get them in the outdoors. Caitlin will be a great waterfowler before all is said and done."
