1st Place - "Divers at Dawn"

by Robert Booker - Five Points, AL
Just before the season opened, a scouting trip with the camera revealed several hundred ringnecks coming in to feed on this lake at dawn. This morning was about 25 degrees, and the deep, unfrozen water had steam rising from it which hides many of the ducks in the background. It is the picture of a cold and quiet winter morning in the South.

2nd Place - "Waiting for the Evening Flight"

by Milan Skrecek
This photo was taken during one of our last outings into the field in 2004. Taken 28 Dec 2004 during an extension of the season to move some birds south. Forestburg, Alberta. A friend of mine, Fred and Kymber, are waiting for the final evening flight of birds to start coming back to the water to roost. The water is about 15 degrees celcius at this location and the air temp was -8 degrees celcius which makes for a foggy evening scene.

3rd Place - "Last Chance"

by Patrick Bisaillon
It was such a relaxing evening. Sitting in the cattails, watching the sunset, and waiting for the birds to visit.
