Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

Waterfowl seasons have started with a bang across much of North America. General seasons have opened in parts of Canada, and teal seasons are either underway or opening soon in the U.S.

Early indications are that it looks like we may all be in for a good year.

Delta staff recently took to the Delta Marsh for the duck opener and were greeted to large numbers of teal. The mission: to introduce our new Communications Director, Nigel Simms to waterfowling.

As luck would have it, Nigel bagged his first duck – a fat blue-wing. Nigel’s years of athletics showed as he picked up the nack of it all very quickly.

Nigel’s family scored too, with a gourmet meal of the finest eating birds that fly in the marsh. Check out a slideshow here to see Mr. Simms officially joining our tribe.
