Delta Welcomes New Associate Editor

Tyler Shoberg

Tyler Shoberg

Tyler Shoberg has joined Delta Waterfowl as associate editor.

The 28-year-old native of Corcoran, Minn., has seven years of writing and editing experience in the newspaper industry. Before joining Delta, Shoberg was sports editor and community reporter with the West Fargo Pioneer. Besides covering the West Fargo, N.D., sports teams and school board, he also wrote a bi-weekly outdoors column called "Open Season."

An avid fisherman, Shoberg was turned on to hunting in his early teens after a pair of uncles took him on an eye-opening waterfowl hunting trip to North Dakota. The experience influenced his choice in higher education, prompting him to attend the University of North Dakota. Despite spending an inordinate amount of time hunting all manner of feathered and furred game, he obtained a journalism degree.

Shoberg lives in Fargo, N.D., with his wife, Erin, and German wire-haired pointer, Remy. He volunteers with a local dog training group, the Red River Valley Chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association, where he recently helped spearhead its first Youth Outdoors Day.

He can be reached by e-mail at tshoberg@deltawaterfowl.org.
