Conservation is on the Box
Federal Speed-Shok steel waterfowl loads wear Delta Waterfowl's logo

Federal Speed-Shok Waterfowl Load
For the fourth straight year, a world leader in ammunition has joined forces with Delta Waterfowl.
Federal Premium Ammunition recently renewed its partnership with Delta Waterfowl Foundation, solidifying a shared vision of securing the future for ducks, geese and those who hunt them.
"We've got a pretty long history of committing to conservation," said Ryan Bronson, who oversees youth and conservation programs for Federal. "Our company started in 1922, and in the 1920s, wildlife populations were at all-time lows. It has been a cultural part of our business since the very beginning."
As part of the partnership, and just in time for the 2012-2013 hunting season, Federal Premium Ammunition will place the Delta Waterfowl logo on its entire lineup of Speed-Shok shotgun shells. Speed-Shok loads run the gamut from 20-gauge to 10-gauge, and include all of the popular shell lengths in 12-gauge. Pellet sizes range from fine No. 7 to honker-dropping T-shot, with speeds varying from 1,300 feet per second to 1,550 feet per second.
Because Speed-Shok is one of Federal's most prominent products and its No. 1 waterfowl load, having the Delta logo emblazoned on the boxes will help increase public awareness about the organization.
"We believe what Delta has been doing — standing up for issues that didn't have advocates, such as predator management, hen houses and ALUS in Canada — is critical to duck production in the long term," Bronson said.
Federal also will help fund two critical programs as a corporate sponsor: hen houses and First Hunt. Bronson said Federal hopes the partnership with Delta Waterfowl will ensure a bright future for ducks and duck hunters.
"We definitely want to see Delta grow," he said.
