Mossy Oak Supports Delta Research

For the third consecutive year, Mossy Oak is supporting Delta Waterfowl’s research program by helping fund two distinct research projects.

In Saskatchewan, student John Dassow is evaluating predator management and in the Mississippi Flyway student Luke Laborde is conducting human dimensions work on waterfowl satisfaction.

A Ph.D. student at Southern Illinois University, Dassow is finishing his final field season, while Laborde is just beginning his graduate work at Louisiana State University.

“Both John and Luke typify exactly what we look for in Delta students and projects— impassioned hunters pursuing great questions that will greatly benefit ducks and duck hunters,” says Delta Senior Vice President John Devney.

Mossy Oak President Bill Sugg says Delta’s research is critical to the future of waterfowl and waterfowl hunting. “All of us at Mossy Oak are excited about the opportunity to be a part of two great projects, one looking at how to produce more ducks and another focused on waterfowl hunters,” he said. “This is important work for our duck and goose hunting customers across the continent.”

“We are greatly appreciative of Mossy Oak’s continued support,” said Devney. “They continue to help us field top-notch research projects that will play a key role in securing a brighter future for ducks and duck hunters.”
