Minnesota Chapter Supports High School Trap Team

In April, the Marsh Madness chapter of St. Michael, Minn., presented the newly formed Buffalo High School Trapshooting Team with $1,000 from its Waterfowl Heritage Fund. Chapter representatives Merle Steffen and Brad Fellerson were on hand to deliver the funding to captains Patrick Macnab, Kurt Potter and Max Hartman.
Because of the donation, the trap team now has the means to purchase customized jerseys for its 22 members. Trapshooting is a growing high school sport across the United States, including Minnesota, which boasts 6,400 statewide participants.
“Thanks to Delta for this fantastic opportunity for the kids,” head coach Mark Stevens said. “Trapshooting is a wonderful sport that builds confidence and self-esteem. They don’t just excel on the field, but in the classroom, as well.”
