Delta Hires New Regional Directors
Posted on 08/01/2013
Three new regional event directors have joined Delta Waterfowl, and the organization’s development staff is growing under new leadership.
Kyle Samples of Shelbyville, Ken., will work with chapters in Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia to plan fund-raising events and recruitment. Samples has worked in outdoor retail management and represented several companies as a pro-staffer. He has hunted waterfowl for 16 years sharing the blind with his Chesapeake Bay retriever, Diesel. Samples can be reached at email@example.com.
Jason Douglas of Aubrey, Texas, will cover chapters in Northwest Louisiana and Texas. Since his middle school days, Douglas has spent countless days hunting ducks. He was drawn to Delta by the organization’s First Hunt program. In addition to hunting, Douglas enjoys fishing, sailing, motorcycling and off-road racing. Contact Douglas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Marty Van Sloun of Edmonton, Alberta, joins Delta in the dual role of regional events director and development director for Western Canada. Originally from Ontario, Van Sloun has previously worked in fund-raising and development capacities for the academic and outdoors communities. He is married. His son and daughter, as well as the family’s yellow Lab, join in outdoor pursuits. Reach Van Sloun at email@example.com.
Bryan King, who has been with Delta since 2003, has been promoted to director of development. King, of Columbia, Tenn., will work to grow major gift fundraising for Delta, while simultaneously managing a territory in the mid-south.
Travis Sheridan, previously a regional director for Delta, has shifted to development director for Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He will work under King’s guidance to cultivate planned giving and capital campaigns in the region.
“I’m excited about the opportunities we have to raise funds to benefit Delta, ducks and duck hunters,” King said.
