Scott Terning - Regional Event Director (ND, SD and MN)
Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education Management from University of Minnesota, Crookston and continued his education at the University of North Dakota with a Graduate degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to coming to Delta he worked with the Grand Forks Public School District, teaching three-five year olds and even taught as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Dakota, Mayville State University, and the University of Mary. His passion for early education and parent involvement led him to start consulting on his own across the United States. According to Scott, “I had an opportunity to consult parents how they could get involved with young children outdoors. It’s full of opportunities; it just takes a little initiative to get involved with children outdoors.” Scott spends a great deal of his time hunting and fishing around North Dakota. While waterfowl is his true passion, he still spends time pursuing other creatures across the Prairie Pothole Region. “It’s great to live and work at a place where I have the opportunity to spend time with the birds I enjoyed reading about and watching as a young child and now having the chance to bring my passion to Delta Waterfowl and its members.” Scott has a personal philosophy, “you’ll always remember how you’re treated” and I feel Delta treats me, its staff, and members with a great deal of respect.
